The stay in the room was comfortable and impeccably clean, making it an inviting place to relax. The staff were genuinely friendly and went above and beyond in assisting with queries. Breakfast options were satisfying, especially the full Scottish that included haggis. noise from the bar downstairs and cobblestones outside could be heard during the night, which may disrupt light sleepers, and accessing the rooms required climbing two flights of stairs due to the absence of a lift.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at No. 53 Frederick Street. The room was modern yet cozy, and the stunning views from the window of the castle one way and the sea the other truly made my mornings special. The welcoming hosts, David and Katy, provided excellent recommendations and made me feel right at home.

The location was fantastic, just a quick stroll to Princes Street, with plenty of cozy cafés and restaurants around. The kids loved having a spacious room where they could play. We really appreciated the comfortable beds and the quiet surroundings for a relaxing stay.
In my wife's opinion, climbing all those stairs with luggage was quite tiring.

spacious rooms, excellent heating, convenient early check-in
No elevator can be a hassle!!! Expect issues with Wi-Fi connectivity during your stay!!! Limited charging outlets make it difficult to power up devices!!! Greater care in room cleaning would go a long way!!!

Super comfy stay in a fab location!
Spent 3 nights in a huge, clean room with a super comfy bed. The shower was a dream too! It’s super easy to explore the area from here, just a stroll to the shops and restaurants. Only thing is, those stairs can be a bit tough after a day out! The breakfast spot downstairs had some tasty options.
